Has anyone else noticed that the mason jar “craze” never really came to an end? A few years back, mason jars came storming back into the home and kitchen world and never left, which I think is a great thing! I think it came down to the fact that people everywhere realized how great these little or big jars are and decided to embrace them and use them wherever possible!
I know it’s hard to let go of Summer, I’ll be the first to say how much I love the sunshine, the long nights and the warm breeze. However, I know for me that Fall plays a close second to Summer because it brings a lot of great things to the table such as leaves scattered on the ground, cozy sweaters and everything pumpkin spice which is always a huge plus.
I don’t know what it is about September, but I find I’m always encouraged to change up certain aspects of my life and start fresh with a new season. I think this is a good habit to get into, because it gives me 4 times throughout the year to reflect on my lifestyle and make changes where needed. Coming off of Summer, these little changes seem like a must because it can be so easy to get caught up in the fun and forget everything else.
Can you believe we’re talking about fall already? It’s officially fall in 13 days and before you know it we will all be bundled up in sweaters, drinking warm drinks and watching the leaves fall. But before we get to that point, I think we better discuss what’s coming up in home design and what will be trending for this season!
When a long weekend approaches, my mind automatically switches into food mode. I think of all the wonderful things we might make in the kitchen over the weekend or I think about finding a new restaurant to try. But once the weekend ends and the indulging is over, I try to reset back into healthy mode especially as we head into fall.
August has been a month for shopping, finding new inspiration and soaking up the summertime goodness. It’s almost hard to believe that August and the summer is coming to a slow close and soon enough we will be welcoming fall with open arms.
As you may have noticed on West 5th, Mr. W & I have two cats that have been with us for almost our whole relationship. We adopted Mooky, our 5-year-old black cat when we first moved in together and about a year or so later we adopted our sassy tortoiseshell Marley. Together they make a great pair and have no issues getting into lots of trouble and keeping us entertained.
