Mr. W & I just returned from a wonderful camping trip and a few days of R & R. Now when I say camping, I really mean “Glamping” because we camp with the comforts of home. Now, I know many people don’t believe it’s real camping until you have no cell service, you’re sleeping on the ground and all the food is cooked over a fire, but that’s not how we roll.
Hello, my name is Kate and I am a blanket addict…and you know what? I’m happy to admit it and shout out to the blogging world! My blanket obsession started early on with my very favorite baby blanket. It was the softest, white and pink blanket covered in Popples (Remember these guys?) and had a delicate white trim on the edges. My mom made it for me and it’s something I have loved since I was a baby.
Well, as we get closer to summer I’m starting to notice my summer wishlist is growing. Whether it’s summer related home decor or new shorts, I always seems to have shopping on the brain and I’m always on the look out for great deals. However, Mr. W and I have recently started a bit of a money-saving plan so most of my shopping plans have been put on hold for the time being, but that doesn’t mean I can’t look right? In light of that, I have taken to window shopping the items I’m loving right now and waiting hopefully for a sale to pop up to make these items more budget friendly.
How’s wedding planning going? Hopefully you’re enjoying the process and have got a few things under your belt such as an idea on a venue and maybe even a dress inspiration or two. You might be at the point where you’re ready to start considering a few people to stand beside you and your fiance on your wedding day. This can be a really difficult choice for some, especially if you’re close to a lot of special people who are in your life regularly.
Can you believe it? He popped the question and now it’s time to plan the wedding of your dreams right? Well, before you get too far into planning, one thing every bride needs is something to wear! Whether you’re going for a traditional white dress, a short colorful number or maybe a fashionable pant suit, the options are endless and sometimes can be overwhelming.
Oh crafting , how I love thee. I grew up in a world surrounded by fabric, glue, scissors and endless amounts of buttons all because of one special lady: My mom! She ran a craft business for many years out of our home so us kids could have a bit of everything in terms of her working and being home for us at the same time. Not only was I grateful to have my mom home morning and night, but it also meant I had my own personal craft store where my creativity could really run wild.
Do you ever have those days where you crave nothing but baked goods like cookies, bread or pie? This is a craving that erupts in our house every so often and when it does it usually means one thing: Time to bake! It just so happened to be an extra rainy Sunday and we had just gotten back from a long walk and brunch, the next logical step was to eat more food. Now, we have been trying to be more health conscious since the new year, so I wanted a quick and easy recipe that wouldn’t kill us in the calorie department and one that wouldn’t take too long.
