While we were busy tackling our kitchen last week , we also decided to take on our guest bathroom! If you haven’t seen our kitchen updates check that out here.
Much like our kitchen project, the guest bathroom had been put off since we moved in. There was nothing wrong with it per say, it just needed a little face lift. The bathroom was white to begin with, but over time it had started to fade and almost look a little grey. We decided to keep it white but give it a fresh, glossy coat, that really made all the difference.
This was what we started with: Faded walls, holes that had been left unfilled, mismatched art etc.
We got to work filling holes and prepping for painting. It’s amazing how a few small changes can really change the look of a whole room! We were extremely happy with the result.
We added a new piece of artwork to the larger wall in the bathroom, making it look more complete. We also replaced the towel holder we had with a new bar. With a few coats of white paint and some great extras, it feels like a whole new bathroom! We even manged to do the whole bathroom for under $100 by budgeting and upcycling items from around the house.
Have you done any renovation projects lately? How do you budget for them?
